Gemma Reynolds
REGISTERED PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Gemma works with teens (15+) and adults navigating substance use, concurrent mental health concerns, OCD, relationship difficulties, emotion regulation, and self-esteem. She also supports couples in managing conflict, improving communication, and deepening connection. She works with clients in ways that suit their individual needs and preferences, helping them understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and beliefs while building skills and supports in a validating, nonjudgmental space
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)
I work with clients to explore how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected and identify patterns of thinking/behaving that are no longer helpful. Together, we also explore your core beliefs and consider new ways of thinking and acting that support your goals.
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT) INFORMED
I use skills from DBT to help clients manage emotions, practice mindfulness, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and balance acceptance with positive change
SOLUTION FOCUSED
THERAPY
I focus on your inherent strengths and resources (you have them, I promise!), helping you set achievable goals and create practical steps towards solutions.
ACCEPTANCE AND COMITTMENT THERAPY (ACT)
I support clients in accepting thoughts and feelings that are hard to change, clarifying values, and taking actions that align with what matters most to them.
GOTTMAN COUPLES THERAPY
I work with couples to strengthen friendship, intimacy, and mutual respect, teaching practical skills to manage conflict, build connection, and create shared meaning.
